Empathetic & Effective Counsel for Clients
Adam Hurwitz brings over 38 years of litigation experience to The Perecman Firm, P.L.L.C., where he dedicates his career to seeking justice for those who have suffered significant injuries. A natural problem solver and skilled debater, Adam views personal injury law as the perfect avenue to combine his talents while making a profound impact on his clients’ lives.
Adam has successfully handled numerous challenging cases, each leaving a lasting impression. He recalls representing the family of a foreign diplomat in a devastating truck accident case, where a father and son were struck while crossing a New York City street. The accident tragically took the father’s life and left the son with severe permanent injuries. Adam’s relentless advocacy led to a near eight-figure settlement, offering the family some measure of relief and financial stability.
In another notable case, Adam represented the mother of a child on the autism spectrum who tragically passed away at school due to negligence. The case revealed a web of deceit and negligence, which Adam skillfully dismantled through meticulous preparation and depositions. While the outcome could not undo the loss, it provided the grieving mother with justice and peace.
Adam’s unwavering commitment to his clients is marked by his meticulous preparation and creative trial strategies. He fosters relationships grounded in empathy and respect, always recognizing that a case is more than just legal proceedings—it’s the client’s life. Adam ensures open communication with his clients, providing updates, sharing strategies, and offering his personal cell phone for emergencies or concerns.
Adam earned his B.A. in Theater with a Minor in Business from the State University of New York at Albany in 1982, followed by his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law in 1985. He is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and has received numerous accolades, including recognition by Best Lawyers, Super Lawyers, and Lawyers of Distinction.
Outside the courtroom, Adam enjoys spending quality time with his wife and family. Together, they share a passion for traveling, skiing, theater, and embracing the beauty of the ocean. Adam’s belief with regard to all things we experience in life is that “Our passion is our strength.”
