Edward Guldi

Devoted, Down-to-Earth, and Specialized

Ed Guldi brings a unique perspective to his work as a dedicated workers' compensation attorney at The Perecman Firm. Originally trained as a music teacher, Ed's path to law was inspired by a desire for justice and the motivation to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Although he began law school with the goal of taking over his family’s real estate practice, he found himself drawn to workers' compensation, where he saw an opportunity to stand up for injured workers and advocate for fair treatment in a challenging system. Ed is particularly passionate about representing clients in cases where large employers or insurers may overlook individual needs, and he approaches each case with a focus on his clients' specific goals, whether it’s pursuing compensation, planning for retirement, or returning to work with the best possible support.

Over his career, Ed has achieved significant successes, including several precedent-setting victories that have had a meaningful impact on workers' rights. Notably, in the case Policarpio v. Rally Restoration Corp., Ed successfully argued a matter that has been frequently cited as a landmark decision, further solidifying protections for injured workers. In 2024, he secured another critical win in a case that reinforced the requirement for the Workers' Compensation Board to strictly follow its own guidelines when determining Schedule Loss of Use awards. This decision established a vital precedent ensuring fairness and consistency in Board determinations, protecting workers from arbitrary outcomes.

In addition to these notable achievements, Ed has secured substantial settlements for his clients year after year, consistently advocating for their right to fair compensation. A skilled litigator, Ed has handled thousands of administrative trials and numerous mediations and arbitrations, bringing deep experience and a results-driven focus to every case he takes on.

Ed’s approach to client communication is highly personalized; he believes that transparency and accessibility are essential to fostering trust and understanding. He makes sure that each client feels heard and understood, ensuring that they are well-informed and supported through every step of the legal process.

A graduate of Clark University (B.A., with honors in Music) and St. John’s University School of Law (J.D.), Ed is an active member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. He has been recognized as part of The Perecman Firm’s team in Super Lawyers listings.

Outside of his legal work, Ed is a lifelong violinist and a dedicated father. Having grown up in a working-class family, he understands firsthand the challenges faced by many of his clients and is driven by a commitment to help them secure the stability they deserve. Guided by principles of client-first advocacy and a sense of justice, Ed is proud to help his clients move forward with confidence.
